There is the only authority in the United Kingdom that can answer the question “Are you an Exceptional Talent in Digital Technology or not?”. This is Tech Nation (previously – Tech City UK).
Tech Nation is a Designated Competent Body, responsible for assessing visa applications submitted by individuals who suggest being Exceptional Talents (or, Promises) in the area of digital technologies. Again, this is the only authority appointed by the Home Office to implement Tech Nation Visa Scheme (Tier 1 Exceptional Talent). Tech Nation endorses up to 200 candidates annually. Also, it notices the statistics of received applications and available endorsements on the page of the Tech Nation Visa Scheme.
My collaboration with Tech Nation (when we start our journey it called Tech City UK) was very inspiring. Every time I contacted them – their replies were quick, spot on and helped me to move on in my visa application. Very important aspect – you will wait for a reply up to 24 hours. However, in most cases, I received replies earlier. One time I even had got an answer to my questions on weekend. Consequently, now I suggest Tech City UK truly works 24/7.
Where to ask? What to do?
If you have a question regarding Exceptional Talent Visa, do not be shy! Ask them directly at email@example.com. They are people who will assess your digital talents. Hence, no agencies or consultancies can provide the same level of understanding your visa case.
At the same time, I encourage you to find answers to your questions in the Internet. More people got this type of visa. Hence, larger array of information is available on-line.
By the way, in my blog I have covered a couple of key topics. I.e., I have written regarding Stage 1 (Endorsement Stage). Also, I explained Stage 2 (Visa Stage) of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa Application Process. Hence, even reading them you can feel is it a good fit for you or not.
If you think it is – perfect, keep going and to the next steps in preparation of your personal statement and recommendation letters. However, if you think you are NOT a talent in digital technology – you still have many options how to improve the situation. By the way, if you cannot assess yourself properly – you can always ask people, who have already done this way (I mean happy holders of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visas, including me). You can ask advice and we will do our best to help you. We are deeply interested to make our talent community strong and diverse. Bring more talented people into the UK is our indirect task now :).
In any case, read next posts and keep going.
