Gossips about April 6 and new UK visa year

Gossips are very strong instruments in sharing information about Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa

Applicants for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa always think about increasing their chances to be endorsed by the Designed Body. Hence, they suggest any probabilities how to catch a luck and get Endorsement because of the correct position of the stars, good Moon day or something else :). Today we will speak about April 6 – the officially known day when new UK visa year starts. I got questions about this day regularly and this is the most recent one.

“Dear Andrii
Thank you for you wonderful and helpful blog.
If you are not to busy I would be very grateful if you could kindly reply 🙂
Do you think it’s better to wait for April 6 to apply for the visa to have more chances or the timing of application doesn’t really matter? “
My answer to this applicant was the following:
“Frankly speaking, it sounds like a gossip. You are not the first person who asked me about the day of April 6 as a deadline for visa application and as a chance to increase chances to get visa.
But I need to answer yes and no simultaneously to this question.
Yes – because Home Office and Tech Nation are preparing their year results for that date and the new visa year is coming. Yes, because this results have to show kind of growth and positive dynamics…
At the same time, I need to say NO.
As I wrote – many people think about this “winning strategy” and apply in late March.
That is why the load of Endorsement Panel is quite high during that period so they just allocate visa applications for the next visa year and that’s it!
So, please, do not think that if you will apply during this period you will have bigger chance to get visa than if you apply in May or September (by the way, I applied in August).
The main point for any application is: (1) a strong and clear Personal Statement with (2) good and trusted Letters of Recommendations and (3) valuable supporting documents. If you have this package – apply any time and everything will be fine.
Moreover, don’t forget that any visa application is not considered in vacuum. Usually the Endorsement Panel has a couple of applications on the table and it is just a matter of luck. If a guy before you had bad Personal Statement and complicated application but your visa application is clear – you will be definitely endorsed since everything is hidden in comparison. But think if your application will seem to be weak in comparison with someone’s else?
That’s why, I encourage you to work hard on your application and do not trust too much this calendar forecasts about April 6.
If you have any questions – I will be glad to share my knowledge with you. Or even to read your Personal Statement and said my opinion about it. “
Additionally, I advice you to read another my blog post about other gossips of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa applicants. Hopefully, it will decrease level of myths around this visa route.
