Tech Nation Visa – a couple of updates

Fresh Tech Nation Report 2017 is available now – exciting and thought-provoking materials on digital technologies in the United Kingdom. But! About the Tech Nation Visa route, there are just a couple of updates, so I collected them.

1. Just in case you have missed the news – Tech City UK is now called Tech Nation.

2. Unfortunately for talents but fortunately for the UK budget, the total cost of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa has increased. Endorsement Stage costs £456 and Visa Stage costs £152. The value of talent visa without Immigration Health Surcharge (IHS) and Biometric Residence Permit (BPR) fees is £608 now.

3. During the existing of Tech Nation Visa route, there are already over 400 holders of Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa from all over the world. Top countries are the United States and India. In some resources, there is information that the overall amount of the applications during this period is around 800. Hence, in pure mathematics, every second/third applicant has a chance to be endorsed and get a talent visa.
