Your UK address in visa application

London is the capital of startup ecosystem in the UK

Application for Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa is covered with many questions. Sometimes they are difficult, but also I get different requests to clarify some field in the e-application or explain what the person needs to write. Today’s question is about address field in Tech Nation Visa application.

Question: “Tech Nation asked me to fill the blank space in the application form telling me where I’m going to be. Please I will go to Newcastle city but I have no address to add to my application form. Please Andrii how can I fill that blank space?”

Answer: At the Stage 1, it is possible to write only the name of the city. I believe that “Newcastle” will be enough.

This question is designed to understand are you applying to live and work in Greater London area or somewhere else. If so – your application can be fast-tracked. In other words, when a person plans to live not in London, it makes his or her application more prioritised. There are also other reasons to fast track the visa application.

Regarding the full address, this is required on the Stage 2 or Visa stage. If you are lucky enough to get the Endorsement Letter, after that you can apply for final decision in the visa application. And this is the right time to write your correct full address since your Biometric Residence Permit (BRP) will arrive to the nearest post-office. By the way, I have already discussed this question in one of my posts about temporary accommodation in Tier 1 Exceptional Talent Visa application.

Hopefully, these thoughts were helpful.
